Job Description
Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift 7 pm start time
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanics is responsible for performing corrective and preventative maintenance for the entire plant under the direction of the Plant Engineering Manager. Also participates in installations and renovations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and facilities including machines, water, etc.
Responsible for cleanliness of the production and maintenance areas during and after repairs.
Completes required documentation for repairs and maintenance.
Makes safety a top priority in all tasks.
Maintains constant communication with the production team before, during and after repairs.
Provide support for capital equipment and equipment upgrade and implementation projects.
Continuous Improvement:
Proposes and implements equipment optimization to improve reliability and to reduce repair times.
Suggests optimizations for the Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
Makes general suggestions for improvements.

Other duties as assigned
Minimum five year experience with mechanical repairs in a production environment
Five Years of experience in a Food Production Environment
Trade experience, e.g., welding, fabrication, soldering, hand tools, carpentry, machining, etc.
Working knowledge of machinery and facilities repair principles including:
Electrical (Basics)
Electronics (Basics)
Knowledge of safety protocols in a production and plant setting
Ability to troubleshoot, isolate and resolve mechanical problems
Effective communication skills
Strong follow-up and follow-through skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong prioritization and time management skills
Adaptable to shifting priorities
Basic Computer Skills
Willing to work alternate shifts and rotate as needed
Bilingual Spanish/English desired, fluency not required
Equipment Used
Hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets, saws, cutters, punches, etc.
Power tools (various saws, drills, grinders, etc.)
Pneumatic tools (cut-off wheels, grinders, chisels, sanders, etc. )
Budget/Supervisory Responsibility
No fiduciary responsibility other than to manage company resources and expenses appropriately.
Work Environment
Constant exposure to the production floor and yard with customary noise levels, vehicles and equipment present. Exposure to electricity, machines and power tools.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
